The compact, modular configuration of Ferraz Shawmut’s UltraSafe fuse holders provides the reduced footprints and DIN-rail mounting users want for today’s smaller fuse panels. All UltraSafe holders meet IEC and DIN standards and have a “finger-safe” IP20 rating, which includes flick-of-a-finger fuse-changing. UltraSafe fuse holders’ body material is durable polyamide, which provides exceptional insulating properties. The UltraSafe line comes in four model series, all of which are available with or without blown-fuse indicators in each pole (AC indicators are orange and DC indicators are red).

Class CC & Midget (10 by 38 mm) Fuse Holders
Ferraz Shawmut UltraSafe modular 24-, 48-, and 600-volt fuse holders enhance safety for Class CC- as well as DC-rated fuses up to 30 amperes. These holders are available in one, two, three, or four poles; multi-pole units are available by ordering pin-tie handles for field assembly. UltraSafe holders save up to 15% of mounting space, any combination can be snapped onto 35-mm DIN rails for extra savings in panel-building time, and holders with Class CC fuses chosen for Type 2 protection provide one of the safest protection packages in the industry.

30A and 60A Class J Fuse Holders
UltraSafe 600-volt fuse holders for Class J fuses not only enhance safety, they also facilitate easy installation and replacement. The 30A US3J model accommodates 30A Class J or 22 by 58 mm French ferrule fuses. The 60A model is the US6J. Both are available in compact one-, two-, or three-pole units; multi-pole units can be made up in the field by using the multiple-pole assembly kits. All units have lock-out provisions for safety during fuse change-outs or equipment-servicing. Both holders can be snap-mounted to 35-mm DIN rails and have a unique latch that will stay open to allow repositioning of the holder in the future.

750-Volt (14 by 51 mm and 22 by 58 mm) Fuse Holders
UltraSafe 750-volt fuse holders offer enhanced features for 14 by 51 mm (model US14) and 22 by 58 mm (model US22) fuses. Available in one-, two-, or three-pole units, they include a standard mechanical indicator that shows fuse presence. If a striker fuse is used, this mechanical indicator also indicates a blown fuse. Micro switches (available with the holders or ordered separately for field installation) enable remote communication. These holders feature padlocking capabilities, DIN-rail mounting with a unique latching system to allow re-positioning, and the capability to be joined as multiple poles in the field.

800-volt (27 by 60 mm) Fuse Holders
UltraSafe 800-volt fuse holders offer exceptional features for 27 by 60 mm fuses. The US27 range, like the US14 and US22, is available in one-, two-, or three-pole units and features the same mechanical indicator that’s included in the 750-volt fuse. The US27 also supports micro switches for remote communication and DIN-rail mounting features.
